Terms of Service

1. Agreement, operator and contact

TimelineFlow is operated by the individual entrepreneur identified in the operator details above. Those details identify your service provider; Paddle is the merchant of record for purchases processed through its checkout.

Registration records affirmative acceptance of these terms and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy. Purchases also follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy and payment-provider terms. Contact [email protected] for account and billing questions or [email protected] for privacy, rights and legal notices. Mandatory consumer rights prevail.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract.
• Provide accurate information and keep it current. One person may not impersonate another.
• Protect your password, session, email account, Connector tokens, provider keys, and devices. Notify us promptly of suspected compromise.
• You are responsible for activity under your account unless mandatory law provides otherwise. We may require email, identity, or payment verification.

3. The Service and local-first architecture

TimelineFlow is a browser-based multi-track editor. Its core project workspace uses a directory you select through the browser's File System Access API. Projects, source media, thumbnails, waveforms, generated files, transcripts, and related artefacts may therefore remain on your device unless you intentionally use a cloud, community, messaging, generation, or Connector feature.

• You control the selected local directory and are responsible for permissions, disk space, backups, malware protection, and loss caused by deletion, corruption, sync tools, browser resets, or device failure.
• Cloud features may store account data, uploads, public projects, messages, attachments, reports, notifications, and service metadata on our infrastructure.
• Features, formats, limits, and integrations may change during active development. We do not promise permanent compatibility with every browser, model, workflow, node, codec, GPU, or device.

4. Plans, Free Beta and AI credits

The public catalog on Pricing and your account show current plan prices, monthly credit allowances, features and limits. Free includes 1 GiB of cloud storage. Basic and Creator are monthly recurring plans. Taxes and the final charge appear at checkout. The offer you accept at checkout and its recorded terms govern your purchase; a later catalog change does not retroactively change a completed purchase.

Free Beta / Early Access is temporary access, not a hidden trial. Its start or end will not itself start a trial, create a charge, or consume a separately recorded trial. Free access alone does not spend credits; requesting a priced TimelineFlow generation does. Existing balances and subscriptions retain their terms. Changes to limits apply prospectively with required notice and reasonable cloud-file retrieval opportunities where applicable.

A recurring paid plan requires a separate affirmative purchase at Paddle checkout. Account creation, silence and continued free use do not authorise payment. Checkout discloses the merchant of record, price, taxes, renewal period and immediate-performance conditions. See paddle Terms. An administrator may grant access or credits without a paid subscription; a grant does not authorise card charges.

Credits are an internal, non-cash, non-transferable service allowance, not a bank account or investment. The catalog displays their unit and top-up price. Monthly credits are consumed first and expire at the end of their allocation period. Purchased or administrator-granted credits expire only when an expiry is disclosed for that allocation; amounts and dates appear in the wallet. Cash redemption is not provided except where a refund or mandatory law requires a remedy.

Before a TimelineFlow AI request starts, the server quotes the model and settings and reserves the approved maximum. Successful work settles within that maximum; any verified unused amount is released or credited back. A technical provider failure releases the reservation. Uncertain or running jobs may remain reserved until reconciled. Retries and regenerations are new requests. Price-affecting changes require a new quote.

Pause stops future work as described in the interface. An upstream request already running may finish and incur its quoted cost. Generation speed, including AutoFilm buffering, is not guaranteed to exceed playback duration. Inspect output and keep backups. Cancellation and refunds are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Welcome credits, when the campaign is available, are a one-time promotional allowance for eligible verified new accounts, subject to the stated campaign budget and anti-abuse limits. Availability is not guaranteed for every registration. Promotional credits cannot be redeemed for cash, sold or transferred. Closing and recreating an account does not renew eligibility. Contact support if you believe an eligibility decision is incorrect.

5. Your API keys and provider accounts (BYOK)

With your own API key or provider account, the provider bills you separately under its prices, limits, content rules and refund policy. Those charges do not use the TimelineFlow wallet. BYOK and Connector availability follows account entitlements. A TimelineFlow plan does not include unlimited external compute.

You are responsible for keys, endpoints and provider limits. Save keys only on trusted devices and rotate compromised keys. ComfyUI workflows and extensions can call remote paid services; inspect their configuration. TimelineFlow cannot refund those third-party charges.

6. Connector, ComfyUI, Ollama, and local services

These integrations are optional and are not operated, endorsed, or warranted by TimelineFlow. “Local” describes the endpoint you configure; it does not guarantee that an installed workflow, custom node, model, or plug-in stays offline. Some nodes call remote or paid APIs, download code, or transmit prompts and media.

• Connector tokens are credentials. Protect, rotate, and revoke them. Connector requests, including prompts, workflows, reference media, progress, and generated outputs, may pass through an authenticated TimelineFlow relay and be buffered temporarily in server memory to reach your connected machine.
• Only connect endpoints and install models, workflows, extensions, and custom nodes you trust. They may execute code, access files, consume substantial compute, or introduce malware and licence obligations.
• A ComfyUI workflow works only when its required model files, custom nodes, dependencies, versions, and settings are installed and configured correctly. Results also depend on available VRAM and RAM, drivers, and hardware; TimelineFlow cannot guarantee that every workflow will run on every setup.
• Ollama capabilities and output quality vary by the exact model and version you install, including support for vision, tool use, structured output, file analysis, and context length. Models are not interchangeable and may behave differently or fail for a requested task.
• You are responsible for firewall and network configuration, HTTPS where appropriate, updates, model licences, hardware safety, electricity costs, backups, and access by other people on your device or network.
• Do not expose unauthenticated ComfyUI, Ollama, or Connector services to the public internet. TimelineFlow is not liable for a third-party or local service's acts or failures.
• Setup instructions in TimelineFlow Settings are general guidance and may not cover every operating-system version, dependency conflict, model requirement, or later third-party change. Following them does not guarantee compatibility or a particular result.

7. AI inputs, outputs and reference rights

Submit only material you have the rights and permissions to process and share. Obtain appropriate consent for another person’s face, voice, likeness and personal information, including character sheets and voice references. Do not use generation for deceptive impersonation, non-consensual intimate content, exploitation of minors, infringement, fraud or unlawful harm.

Hosted generation uses fal and selected upstream services. Applicable model licences and provider restrictions also apply: fal Terms, fal Api and fal Aup. Prohibited requests may be rejected, and attempts to bypass safeguards may result in suspension.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, non-unique or unsuitable. Review before publishing. Copyrightability, exclusivity, third-party clearance and commercial permission for every use are not guaranteed. Your input rights remain yours; output rights depend on applicable law and model terms.

8. Your content and licences

As between you and TimelineFlow, you retain rights in content you lawfully own. You grant TimelineFlow a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transcode, process, transmit, display, and moderate content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. The licence ends when the relevant content is deleted, subject to backups, legal retention, recipient copies, and content shared publicly or with others.

TimelineFlow does not use private project content or private AI inputs to train generative models. Public content is displayed and may be cached, indexed, quoted, linked, or copied by other users and third parties; we cannot guarantee complete removal from their systems.

9. Third-party services and media

Integrations, models, stock-search results, fonts, codecs, links, and open-source components are governed by their own terms and licences. Availability in TimelineFlow is not a promise that material is cleared for your use. Preview or search access does not necessarily grant commercial, advertising, merchandising, trademark, music-synchronisation, publicity, or model-release rights. Verify attribution and licence requirements at the source.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

You may not use the Service to create, upload, publish, request, facilitate, or distribute:

• unlawful content; child sexual abuse or exploitation material; sexual content involving minors; non-consensual intimate imagery; sexual violence; or sexually explicit or pornographic content or services;
• impersonation, deceptive deepfakes, voice or face cloning without authority, identity theft, fraud, scams, phishing, misleading endorsements, or election interference;
• content infringing copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, data-protection, contractual, confidentiality, or other rights;
• credible threats, incitement, terrorism, violent extremism, targeted harassment, doxxing, hateful abuse, or instructions that materially facilitate serious wrongdoing;
• malware, credential theft, unauthorised surveillance, security exploitation, spam, or attempts to disrupt, probe, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or bypass the Service;
• automated high-impact decisions about people, unlawful biometric categorisation, or professional advice presented without qualified human review; or
• attempts to bypass provider safeguards, usage limits, moderation, payment controls, sanctions, export controls, or access restrictions.

If you promote or endorse TimelineFlow after receiving compensation, affiliate benefits, special access, gifts, or anything else of value, you must disclose that material connection clearly and conspicuously near the endorsement and keep the endorsement honest and supportable. Do not fabricate, suppress, or manipulate reviews or use synthetic people or media to imply a real endorsement without authority and clear disclosure.

We may investigate suspected violations and preserve or disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect people, rights, and the Service.

11. Public and community features

Profiles, public projects, ratings, comments, messages, and attachments may be visible to recipients or the public. You are responsible for audience selection and should not rely on deletion to retract copies. We may restrict distribution, remove content, issue warnings, suspend features, or terminate accounts based on these Terms, law, or safety risks.

Report illegal or abusive content to [email protected] with the URL, reasons, relevant jurisdiction, and your contact information. Good-faith reports and appeals are welcome; knowingly abusive, repetitive, or fraudulent notices may be restricted. Where required, we will provide reasons and an appeal channel.

12. Copyright notices

A copyright notice should identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact details, a good-faith statement, an accuracy/authority statement, and a physical or electronic signature. Send it to [email protected]. Counter-notices should identify removed material, consent to the legally required jurisdiction, and include the statements and signature required by applicable law. We may forward notices and adopt a repeat-infringer policy. This contact is not a substitute for registering a designated agent where a statutory safe harbour requires one.

13. TimelineFlow intellectual property

The Service, branding, interface, and non-user content are owned by TimelineFlow or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. No right is granted to resell access, copy the interface, remove notices, or use our marks without permission. Feedback may be used without restriction or compensation, without identifying you publicly.

14. Beta service, availability, and changes

The Service and beta features are provided on an “as available” basis. Maintenance, security events, browsers, networks, providers, local hardware, and force-majeure events may cause interruption or data loss. We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features. If a material discontinuation affects a prepaid plan, any remedy will be provided as required by law or the applicable refund policy.

Free Beta applies to the Service as a whole, and individual features may also be experimental. Beta behaviour, formats, quality, quotas, and compatibility may change and should not be treated as guaranteed or production-ready. Keep independent backups and do not rely on uninterrupted beta access for safety-critical or irreplaceable work.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using TimelineFlow at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, legal requirements, security risk, non-payment, harm to users or infrastructure, or discontinued service. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to appeal. Export local content before termination; account deletion does not delete copies held by recipients or erase data we must retain.

16. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TIMELINEFLOW DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND RESULTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, PROVIDER OUTPUTS, LOCAL SOFTWARE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that applicable law makes mandatory.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TimelineFlow and its operator, affiliates, and personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data, content, provider credits, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid to TimelineFlow for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability and statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so they apply only to the lawful extent.

18. Business-user indemnity

If you use TimelineFlow for business or professional purposes, you will defend and indemnify the operator and its personnel against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful content, infringement, provider or local-service use, breach of these Terms, or misuse of the Service, except to the extent caused by TimelineFlow. This section does not apply to consumers where prohibited.

19. Law, sanctions, and disputes

You may not use the Service in violation of sanctions, export controls, or trade laws. These Terms are governed by the law of the contracting operator's disclosed place of establishment, without regard to conflicts rules. Its courts have jurisdiction, but consumers retain any mandatory right to use the courts and laws of their home country. Before filing a claim, please contact [email protected] so the parties can try to resolve it informally.

20. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, service, or business reasons. Material changes will be notified in-product, by email, or through another reasonable channel and will not apply retroactively where prohibited. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where lawful; we will request renewed affirmative acceptance when required.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without consent; the operator may assign them with the Service, subject to consumer law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, checkout disclosures, and any feature-specific terms form the entire agreement for the Service.
